About this tour

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, consisting of a circular arrangement of massive standing stones. Built in stages between 3000 and 2000 BCE, it remains an archaeological mystery, with debates over its construction methods and purpose. The stones, some transported from over 150 miles away, align with the summer and winter solstices, suggesting astronomical or ceremonial significance. Likely used as a burial site and a centre for rituals, Stonehenge reflects the ingenuity of Neolithic peoples. Its enduring mystique, cultural significance, and impressive engineering have made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of ancient human achievement.

Bath, a historic city in Somerset, England, is renowned for its Roman-built baths and Georgian architecture. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city’s centrepiece is the Roman Baths, a well-preserved ancient spa complex fed by natural hot springs. Bath flourished in the 18th century, with elegant structures like the Royal Crescent and the Circus exemplifying Georgian splendour. The city’s rich literary connections include Jane Austen, who lived and set parts of her novels here. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, Bath seamlessly blends history, culture, and charm, attracting visitors for its heritage, therapeutic waters, and vibrant cultural scene.

The Cotswolds, a picturesque region in south-central England, is renowned for its charming countryside, rolling hills, and quaint stone-built villages. Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it spans across six counties, including Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Warwickshire. The region features honey-coloured limestone cottages, historic market towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, and scenic walking trails. The Cotswolds is also home to grand estates, medieval churches, and beautiful gardens, offering a timeless glimpse into English rural life. Popular for its traditional pubs, antique shops, and artisan markets, the Cotswolds is a beloved destination for both locals and tourists alike.
